National Futsal Coach Marcelo Calls Up 20 Players For Centralised Training

KUALA LUMPUR, March 4 (Bernama) -- National futsal head coach Marcelo Serpa Coelho today listed 20 players to undergo centralised training from March 17-25 at Wisma FAM and National Sports Complex in Seksyen 21, Shah Alam.

According to a statement from the FAM, Wednesday, the players need to report for training on March 17, at Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya.

The National futsal squad are expected to play friendly matches against Thailand in April and Japan in September and also take part in a Quadrangular Invitational tournament in New Zealand in July.

The friendly matches are part of the National squad's preparation for the 2015 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) championship in Jakarta, Indonesia from Oct 8 to 18.

Malaysia are drawn in Group A with Timor Leste, Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore and defending champion Thailand while Group B comprise Australia, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and the Philippines.
