PETALING JAYA: Felda United coach Irfan Bakti has demanded his foreign legions - centreback Bojan Miladinovic, midfielder Zah Rahan Krangar and strikers Edward Wilson and Ndumba Makeche - to step up their game.
The high-flying Fighters, who share top spot in the Super League with Perak on eight points, failed to capitalise on home ground advantage and were held to a goalless draw by Lions XII in the league match last Saturday.
Earlier, Felda were knocked-out of the FA Cup second round by Selangor on March 7. Both Wilson and Makeche turned villains for Felda when they missed their spot kicks as they crashed out 4-2 in the penalty shoot-out to Selangor.
Felda had earlier went ahead 2-0 but Selangor got back into the game to drew level, forcing the match into extra time and then winning the shoot-out.
And the wily old Irfan wants his strikers - Wilson and Makeche - to score when they take on east coast giants Kelantan in their next Super League match at the Sultan Mohd IV stadium in Kota Baru on Saturday.
“Our import strikers failed to score and they have to buck up for our next match against Kelantan.
“I even warned Edward (Wilson) for his failure to score after the match against Selangor... all the import players have to start performing and prove that they are better than the local players,” said the 63-year-old Irfan.
