KUANTAN: Pahang football team captain, Mohd Razman Roslan (pic), was resting in his house when he heard what he thought was fireworks outside his house.

He was shocked to find out that a gunman had fired five shots into his house here.

Mohd Razman, 31, was watching television with his wife while his two children were asleep when the footballer heard the sound of gunfire outside at about 12.30am yesterday.

The bullets shattered the rear windscreen of Mohd Razman’s multi-purpose vehicle parked at the porch.

Pahang CID chief Datuk Mohd Zakaria Ahmad said no one was injured in the incident.

“We are trying to determine the motive behind the shooting. It is too early to say anything yet,” he said, adding that Mohd Razman lodged a report at the Kuantan police headquarters.

Mohd Razman said he initially thought the sound was from fireworks.

My wife looked through the curtains to see what had happened as she wanted to know who had played with the firecrackes.

“When I looked outside, I saw the rear windscreen of my MPV shattered.

“I went out and was shocked to find bullet slugs near the vehicle,” he said.

He said he rushed into the house, locked the main door and called the police.

“My children slept through the incident,” he said.

The Kajang-born defender told Bernama he did not know the motive behind the shooting and that he had never been threatened before.
