Life Goes On For Pahang After Shooting Incident

PETALING JAYA: It’s business as usual for the Elephants after surviving two harrowing experiences in one day.

On Wednesday, double winners Pahang were rattled after learning that a gunman had fired five shots at skipper Mohd Razman Roslan’s home in the wee hours of the morning.

Later that night, the team lived dangerously in the AFC Cup home game against Global FC of the Philippines before escaping with a goalless draw.

Goalkeeper Khairul Azhan Khalid and midfielder Azidan Saruddin feel that the team will get over the two incidents and return to winning ways when they face winless Armed Forces in the Super League in Paroi on Saturday.

Khairul admitted that the team were shocked to learn of the shooting incident.

“Of course, we were shocked by the shooting incident but we had to stay focused on the game,” said Khairul.

Azidan acknowledged that Razman “could still be traumatised by the incident”.

“As friends and team-mates, we have offered him our full support, but he’s still probably shaken up. We were also affected by the news because now we feel that we all need to be extra careful wherever we go,” said Azidan.
