Zainal Concerned With Pahang's Lack Of Bite In Attack

KUANTAN, March 12 (Bernama) -- Pahang coach Zainal Abidin Hassan has identified the lack of fire power among his strikers as one of the main reason for the team's inability to walk out with all three points in their AFC Cup Group D match against Global FC from the Philippines, Wednesday night.

Global FC and Pahang played out a goalless draw at the Darul Makmur Stadium last night and will need to win their next match against Group leader South China FC from Hong Kong, to advance further.

"Our main problem was finishing. We had numerous chances to score. But I cannot blame them for effort because every player was working hard to score and win the match. May be luck was not on our side," he told reporters after the match.

Pahang had started their AFC Cup campaign on a positive note after beating Myanmar's Yadanarbon FC 3-2 at the Mandalar Thiri Stadium last month while South China FC beat Global FC 6-1.

Zainal's boys will next face South China FC in Hong Kong on April 15.
