National Team Coach Honour Janza has called for the development of grass root football.
Janza says there is need for football clubs in the country to develop grass root football through formation of nurseries.
The Chipolopolo coach says formation of football nurseries will help in talent identification.
Janza has told ZNBC sports that the future of Zambian football lies in the youth, adding that it is important that the development of youth football is taken seriously.
Meanwhile, the National team handler has commended FIFA and CAF for introducing the youth development program.
The newly introduced program encourages clubs to have reserve teams and nurseries for senior teams.
Nkana football club is one of the premier league teams that has introduced a nursery this year in a bid to nurture talent.
Meanwhile, Health Deputy Minister Chitalu Chilufya has urged old people in Mansa to venture into sports activities to kick out non-communicable diseases.
Chilufya says the lifestyles in Mansa need to be controlled through sports.
Bangwe Naviley reports that the deputy minister was speaking in Mansa when he was selected to referee a Madalas soccer tournament at St. Clements Secondary School.
