Karathu To Unleash Jamaican James Against Terengganu

Perak received the International Transfer Certificate (ITC) for James on Thursday
and ready to field him against Terengganu in the Super League match on Saturday.

PETALING JAYA: Perak’s new Jamaican striker Horace James is ready for action.

Perak coach Datuk M. Karathu said they had received the International Transfer Certificate (ITC) from the player’s former club – FC Edmonton in the North American Soccer League – Thursday.

“We won’t waste ay time and will let him get down to business,” said Karathu.

The 71-year-old former international said that James will start in their Super League home game against Terengganu at the Perak Stadium in Ipoh on Saturday.

James is expected to partner South Korean Namkung Woong or Brazilian Charles Chad in attack. Chad and Namkung have scored 11 goals between them.

James is a replacement for midfielder Marco Tulio Lopes Silva.

Karathu said he will miss midfielder Ahmad Sukri Abdul Hamid, who is on suspension after picking up three yellow cards.

Second-placed Perak are tied with four other teams with 11 points. Police lead the standings with 12 points.
