FAS Revives Women's Football

KUCHING, April 29 (Bernama)- Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) in its effort to revive women's football in Sarawak is organising the Sarawak Cup Women Football Championship 2015, which kicks off Thursday.

The four-day tournament is hosted by Football Association of Sri Aman and aimed at selecting talented and skillful players to represent Sarawak for the upcoming national level tournament which is to be held in August.

A total of 10 teams would take part in the tournament and the finals would be played on May 3, said FAS in a press statement here today.

The participating teams are from Limbang FA, Miri FA, Bintulu FA, Sibu FA, Kapit FA, Sarikei FA, Betong FA, Sri Aman FA, Samarahan FA and Kuching FA.
