AT Kuantan B10: Barca of the East Coast

Maktab Sultan Ismail in Kota Bharu, Kelantan was the venue for the Liga Akademi Zon Timur Under-10, Under-11, and Under-12 for this weekend.

There were many teams that performed well but the award for most outstanding team in terms of performance falls only on one team; AT Kuantan B10. Playing with a different strategy and approach as compared to their last round of matches, coach Mohd Razi Bin Jusoh has tweaked and moulded his team into a team that, dare say, can be compared to FC Barcelona of Spain.

AT Kuantan B10 adopted a passing game that focused more on keeping possession and putting high pressure on their opponents. It paid off as the youngsters registered big margin wins in their two games on Saturday afternoon.

It was hard to pinpoint which positions were the most effective as the whole team was playing well but if one has to be chosen, it would be their forward line. They got into the right positions, made the right runs, and with the thorugh-ball service from the midfield to match, AT Kuantan B10's forwards were deadly on the day.

With a strategy that keeps possession, focuses on key passes, and putting the opponents under high pressure, could there be a La Masia be in the making on the East Coast of Malaysia? Only time will tell.
