Muhammad Aznil Hafiz, AT Kota Setar U12's Diamond In The Rough

The saying ''a diamond in the rough'' refers to a hidden treasure waiting to be polished and perfected.

In this case, the diamond is one that goes by the name of Muhammad Aznil Setar who plays for AT Kota Setar U12 in the Liga Akademi Tunas Zon Utara Under-10s, Under-11s, and Under-12s that was played at Sekolah Kebangsaan Iskandar, Alor Setar, Kedah.

He was the shining player for AT Kota Setar U12 on Saturday, playing in the midfield.

He showed good composure and was not shy in asking for the ball from his teammates.

He made quite a number of key passes and though his shots could have been more on target, he managed to net one for his team.

Coach Hasmawi Hassan, the trainer for AT Kota Setar U12, had this to say of the youngster, ''Muhammad Aznil has an advantage in terms of physicality and his finishing.

With his height of 166cm, if placed in the right position, and trained correctly, he can go very far.

Maybe in terms of tempo of the game he is a little slow, but from this young age he can be polished''.



Muhammad Aznil Hafiz, 12, comes from Jitra, Kedah and started to have a passion for the game at the young age of 6 years old.

His ambition is to one day be a professional football player and aspires to be like his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo.
