Local Coaches Must Adapt To More Structured Coaching System
25 Mei, 2015
KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 (Bernama) - Local coaches must adopt three key elements in adapting to a more structured coaching system as suggested by the National Football Development Coaching symposium.
National Sports Council (NSC) director-general Datuk Ahmad Shapawi Ismail said the three key elements are commonality, clear responsibilities and the desire for change.
"The audit findings say that our coaches are not exposed to these three elements. If they want to be involved in national football development, they have to go through all the three elements to make new changes.
"If they cannot adapt to a more structured system, they must refer to the experts that we have here.
"This symposium allows the coaches to express their views on constraints in early development of football," he said after opening the Second National Football Development Coaching Symposium at the National Sports Institute (NSI) here, today.
A total of 210 coaches participated in the symposium themed "Back To Basics" which include theory and practical sessions by five local and international football experts.
