NFDP Malaysia enjoy 1-0 win over QPR Under-13s

RANGERS were proud to welcome NFDP Malaysia to the Academy on Monday afternoon, with our international guests running out 1-0 winners over QPRs Under-13 side.
It follows the UK launch of the Rs partnership with the National Football Development Programme (NFDP) a programme supported by both QPR and the Malaysian government to give something back to the community in Malaysia.
The Malaysian teenagers are currently enjoying a two-week stay in the country, and were guests at QPRs recent Sky Bet Championship fixture with Blackburn Rovers at Loftus Road.

"It was a really good game, played in a very competitive but sporting manner, with both sets of players and coaches encouraging both sides which was fantastic to see," Academy Manager, Perry Suckling, told www.qpr.co.uk. It could have gone either way.
"Overall, it was a really productive evening."
The programme aims to revamp football coaching in Malaysia, in order for the country where QPR Co-Chairmen Tony Fernandes and Ruben Gnanalingam were both born to produce more talent in the long-term.
The NFDP covers a wide scope coaches education, talent scouts, facilities, infrastructure, quality and quantity competitions at various levels as it seeks to prepare the youngsters for the high demands of professional football.

The programme, which has been up-and-running in Malaysia since 2013, is a 20-year project, with the end goal of producing more talent, so the country can compete at a higher level on an international scale.
"The Malaysians have some quality players and gave us some really testing moments," Suckling added. "As for us, its about the continuation of the clubs new philosophy of playing open and expansive football."
"Its a partnership that we hope will develop further and become a family-type relationship."
Mondays fixture was one of 11 fixtures the NFDP have lined-up during the next fortnight, including games against Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
