It is always exciting to see raw, youthful talent be displayed naturally by aspiring footballers. Such was the case with youngster Aniq Mazni who wore the number 7 shirt for AT Petaling Perdana U7 at Karnival Akademi Tunas U-7,U-8 and U-9 on Saturday at UiTM Shah Alam, Shah Alam.

Though only seven years-old, Aniq Mazni displayed good touch and control of the ball that it seemed like he was playing football as soon as he could walk. Playing alongside his twin brother, Aqil Mazni, the two were exciting to watch as they displayed both natural talent and grace on the ball that left the teams they were playing against simply watching. The talented twins, along with their elder brother, Izkuzaidi Mazni who play for AT Petaling Perdana U9, live in Rawang but make the journey to train with Akademi Tunas Petaling Perdana which is based in Shah Alam. When asked when he started playing football, Aniq Mazni said that he started playing football since he was five years of age. He also said that his interest in football was also strongly supported by his parents.
Aniq Mazni is just one of the talents that events such as the Karnival Akademi Tunas hope would be found and nurtured. Hopefully, with the right guidance and training, these young, hidden talents would be able to be big stars for Malaysian football in the years to come.
Karnival Akademi Tunas Under-7, Under-8, and Under-9, which were held in Shah Alam, Bukit Jalil and various places, ran alongside the Hari Sukan Negara whose objective is to create a more sport-active nation.
