U-14 : Play-Off 3 to Plate Quarter-Finals
Seongnam FC 2–1 Malaysia Cougars (U-13)

A backdrop of ferocious home support and perfect weather still failed to inspire Malaysia Cougars U-13 to victory against Seongnam FC. Though evenly matched in technical ability, the Koreans look the better side given their physical advantage. A 5 minutes lapse in concentration by the Cougars was all that was needed by Seongnam. The goals in Field D were fired in quick successions by the 55th and 60th minute for the Koreans to walk off the pitch triumphant.


U-14 : Play-Off 2 to Plate Quarter-Finals
Malaysia Panthers (U-13) 0–1 NFDP Selangor

With both set of opponents schooled in the NFDP way of playing, it was just a matter of which side adhered to their tenets more strictly in Field E. A clean, tough game ended in favour of NFDP Selangor with a single goal seperating them from the Panhers.

U-14 : Play-Off 3 to Plate Quarter-Finals
Saswco FC 1–3 Malaysia Tigers (U-14)

Attack is the best form of defence, aptly illustrated by the manner in which the Malaysian Tigers gained victory against the Indonesian side. Home advantage certainly has a huge impact in this embryonic stage of football development, as Saswco simply looked a side which froze on the occasion in Field D.


U-14 : Play-Off 1 to Cup Quarter-Finals
FC Seoul 2–1 Kawasaki Frontale

An East Asian derby complete with its share of intense challenges and spirited gameplay. FC Seoul however, just managed to get their noses in front in Field E to close the door on the Japanese side’s bid to make the Cup quarter-finals.

U-14 : Play-Off 2 to Cup Quarter-Finals
FC Bunyodkor 6–2 Thailand

An interesting clash given Bunyodkor’s physical disadvantage compared to the taller and firmly built Thai side in Field D. The Uzbeks however, more than made up for it with their speedy gameplay which ran rings around their opponents. Nattakan Atjana gave the best individual display seen yet in the tournament this year when he lashed in 5 goals past Thailand.


U-14 : Play-Off 1 to Plate Quater-Finals
Manchester City 1–0 Foolad Mobarakeh Sepahan

Manchester City brushed off the disappointment of losing the crown they so gallantly won last year by edging Foolad Sepahan in an even, tight match in Field E.
