U-12 : Plate Quarter-Final 1
NFDP Terengganu 3– 0 Tabuan (U-12)
Field A saw NFDP Terengganu rise to the occasion with an energetic display against their rivals from Borneo. Attacking in numbers, their close ball control kept Tabuan for long periods inside their own half. When Tabuan did get their chances, however, they were really dangerous and this victory would not have come without the NFDP Terengganu keeper’s brilliant display between the sticks. He had to be, Tabuan’s attacks twice rocked the frame of goal in this game.
U-12 : Plate Quarter-Final 2
Spartak Tashkent 0–0 Foolad Mobarakeh Sepahan (Spartak Tashkent won penalty shoot out 6-5)
A game which has everything the good side of the game had to offer; spirited gameplay, tough clean tackles, feverous support but sadly no goals despite both sides doing their best to break the deadlock in
Field B. Spartak Tashkent triumphed in a thrilling sudden death penalty shootout to the cheers of their travelling supporters.
Session 2 (1020)
U-12 : Cup Quarter-Final 3
Gimpo JIJ Fc 2–0 FF South Australia
An equal first half which saw both teams trying desperately to break each other’s defences down. Gimpo Jij failed to take chances a lax Australian defence while at the other end, Gimpo Jij’s keeper was virtually a one-man wall frustating every attempt headed his way. The Koreans’ class in the end shone through in
Field A, as the match ended with FF South Australia having to resort to pack defending to keep the score respectable.
U-12 : Plate Quarter-Final 2
Buriram United 6–0 Byulnae FC
Anyone watching Buriram United in
Field B would agree; this is a team in top gear. After tearing Foolad Sepahan 5-0 in their final group game yesterday , they followed it up by running berserk over a helpless Byulnae FC. The Koreans were pressured again and again into a series of errors through Buriram’s incessant attacks.
Session 3 (1300)
U-12 : Cup Quarter-Final 1
Sporting CP 1–0 Malaysia Panthers
Sporting CP faced their best opponent yet in the shape of Malaysia Panthers who stood toe to toe with them for long periods in
Field A with their short passing game. The Portugese side however, possess in abundance something which their opponent did not have; speed! Lots of it.. as Sporting zips away to the semis yet to concede a goal in four matches now.
U-12 : Plate Quarter-Final 1
Saint Prima 1–0 Bunyodkor
A spirited display by both teams right from the time the kickoff whistle sounded, turned on its head when Luthfan Sidqi Atqiya gave the Indonesians a 21st minute lead. The second half saw Bunyodkor resort to aerial bombardment in a bid to break Saint Prima down, who by this time were retreating further and further into their shell to protect their precious lead. And thats how it stayed to the final whistle in
Field B.
